You may be under the impression that in order to have a great day at the beach, you need to take your vacation somewhere tropical, like one of the Caribbean islands or California. But not everyone is a Toronto lawyer with enough money to take such extravagant vacations. Does this mean we can't have a great day at the beach? No! In fact, Presque Isle State Park right here in Pennsylvania has some great beaches that can tempt locals and visitors alike. Read on to hear more about it.

If you study English in Toronto, you may have read the issue of Conde Nast Traveler magazine where Presque Isle's beaches were ranked among the Top 100 Swimming Holes in the United States. If you haven't one trip to the island will tell you all you need to know. More than four million people make that trip every year, and many of them return again and again. That should tell you something about the quality of the beaches. Four million people can't be wrong!

Don't worry about struggling to find a place on the beach in a crowd, though. With over seven miles of pristine shoreline, there's plenty of room for everyone. The people density is much higher at home in your London condos building. Some beaches have shallow water and picnicking facilities that are perfect for families and people with small children while other beaches are wild and rugged and offer more excitement for wind surfers and knee boarders. Visit several and see which one you like best.

Each beach has everything that you need nearby and nothing that you don't. You can buy snacks, use the washroom, cook hamburgers, and get fishing gear without also having to contend with butterfly valve manufacturers and big department stores. At many beaches you can also rent boats and water craft, while others are reserved strictly for swimmers and people who want to move under human power without worrying about whether they're going to be run over.

And when you tire of swimming, you don't have to go straight back to the best home based business conference. You can stick around for a bonfire, barbecued supper, or a walk on the island's hiking trails. With over twenty miles of them, you'll never get bored. You can also bird watch and learn about the island's history. Even if you come in the winter, there's still plenty to do, such as skating, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.
